Project Overview

In 2020, we helped Oklahoma insurance agency CompSource Mutual to redesign the resources and events sections of their website, which is their online platform for sharing knowledge and learning with external audiences. Their content needed to be organized in a way that was easily searchable, and their community events needed to be visible to the community and easy to manage by their internal staff.

The Challenge

The website update needed to organize their internal content in a logical structure, harmonize with their existing brand and offer a much-improved user experience for the professionals and public who regularly seek policy and safety resources.

Our Approach

Working closely with CompSource Mutual, we designed modern website sections for their resources and events that would be visually striking, without undermining the seriousness of the work that the organization does.

As these newly designed sections needed to match the rest of the existing brand, our designs followed the existing brand guidelines carefully. We achieved this by bringing in their brand elements as background art detail, using their colors as accents, and minimal use of well-placed images.

The new resources and events design made the purpose immediately clear and highlights the latest news on resources and events. We restructured the search and added FacetWP to make it easier to find further information.

In addition to coding out the custom website designs, we also heavily customized functionality related to plugins needed by the new site for search and events. The end result is a fast, intuitive search of content and the ability for the staff to easily manage their events.
